Caterer Connections
The challenge
With a growing number of foodservice operators spending with them, Landmark Wholesale wanted to establish an even stronger communication link between the business and its customer base.
Targeted at caterers and on-trade professionals, a revamped magazine needed to speak to the industry so that the messages passed on were widely respected and helped readers to make their businesses more profitable. And with the wholesale industry becoming increasingly competitive in the out-of-home market, providing added value had never been so important to attract and retain customers.
The solution
A bimonthly magazine called Caterer Connections provided Landmark Wholesale’s catering customers with a free publication that reflects the latest foodservice and on-trade trends alongside the most recent industry regulations.
A broad scope of content offered readers tips, recipes and mixology and supplier insight, tailored to different catering sectors – on-trade, cost-sector and quick serve – to ensure time-pressured chefs and caterers find what they need easily.
Feeding into this, our editorial and design teams worked closely to create a vibrant design packed with eye-catching devices that drew readers to the publication, while also making content easily digestible so key messages could be consumed quickly.
Bursting with news, product promotions, customer profiles, supplier expertise and invaluable industry insight, we also generated significant revenue by selling advertising in Caterer Connections to the UK’s leading brands, making the magazine not just cost neutral to the client but also delivering them a healthy profit.
